Exercise physiology is a field of study
devoted to examining the body’s
response to physical activity. In a nutshell, its primary focus is "exercise as medicine."

Exercise physiologists are tertiary trained fitness professionals that design exercise programs to fulfil a client’s requirements. They are allied health professionals who specialise in the prescription of exercise. The aim is to improve the client’s range of motion, strength, and functional capacity.

Exercise Physiologists deliver safe and effective clinical exercise programs to enhance sporting performance, for pain relief from chronic injuries and help to control symptoms and prevent the onset of chronic diseases.

The goal of exercise physiology is to have the core muscles operating correctly, as well as to help you reach your physical goals, such as weight loss, rehabilitation from injury or general fitness.

Our Exercise Physiologist is centrally located allowing access to Newcastle and surrounding suburbs. Based in Kotara our Exercise Physiologist provides exercise advice and guidance for patients in a variety of locations such as gyms, local parks, popular walking locations and in the clinic in Kotara.
